WE WON!!!

[02-04-2010, 16:27] Reesion:  We have just played and won the WB finals 2-0 vs Tribal, after this we got free Waffles and Coke, perfect meal for the Grandfinals. The headadmin responsible for prizes of the tournament will come and we'll talk to him to see what will happen, he said that the change of prizes is not set in stone yet, so we hope they can keep their advertised prizepool and not rip us off. I woke up on the table by someone waking me up, went to 7-Eleven and had a hamburger for breakfast, and played an awesome Sven both games vs Tribal and I'm looking forward to play a 3rd. [01-04-2010, 22.52] UnPapayaCoconut:  Yoyo, papaya here. Our updating havent been the best and I thought id give it a shot now since all the other guys are sleeping basically. I'll tell you a bit how i've experienced the lan. It started of pretty bad. We arrived at 1 am all fired up, but after that it all started going downhill (or well, perhaps it did before when mini dropped his shoe).
The organisation at this event is terrible. First off we had to wait like 40-50 minutes just for them to find some information binding us to the lan at all. I thought that it would go kinda smooth but their system is not something that is fit in year 2010. And when they finally found us it seems we had another problem, the gathering had forgot to give us our seats so we were there with tickets, but without any seats in the middle of the night. We talked to several people, waited a couple of hours until we finally reached the "boss" of the event here. And he wanted to put us on different spots, if he could find it that is or else we would have to go without participating at all. We were told if we got any trouble we should contact Monk from oslo lions or Krister from qpad. Was very lucky we were told this cuz these guys helped us out, and when they came with us the "boss" finally started listening. Now we got our own row in the end of the hall, its pretty nice actually but id rather take a normal spot instead of waiting all those hours :) So thx alot to monk & krister, they've really helped us out alot.

About the gaming part, we've been doing pretty good even though we didnt have any time for practise. (our internet came up 20 minutes before the tournament started and kept on dying for an hour, luckily we were seeded for the first round) After that we first played vs a mediocre team that played for 5 minutes then they all got disconnected and didnt want to remake, so we advanced to the next round. There in the semifinals of the winner bracket we were to meet HD, a norwegian team that is not at all bad, but not at our level yet. We won the game on about 15 minutes when they decided to forfeit. The next game, the winnerbracket final that is, is to be played at 14:00 CET vs tribal.int from Serbia. That will be a really interesting game that we'll hopefully take home. I think we will.

And then we got another brilliant news from the orgas of this event. They're going to cut the prizes on our tournament by 50%. Pretty awesome. Their reasoning is that their isnt enough teams, even though the event is as full as it can be, so more teams can impossibly join in.

[01-04-2010, 13:25h] Wagamama:  We are now sitting at The Gathering, the ticketbooking wasn't working out flawlessly, due to The Gathering forgetting to seat us after Q-pad booked the tickets. A fail that lead to that even though we arrived 01:00~ at the gathering  we didn't have any seats until 12:00~ today, and after lots of pushing the admins here to get what we had paid for. Everything is solved now though, we got a whole new little row of our own, just 5 druidz and a driver! Perfect. A bit cold else it'd be really nice.
